Getting To Know You!

My fabulous bloggy friend Keely has made a little blog hop out of some fun Getting To Know You questions that her sister Kassi posted, and because my eyes are burning from the Avon invoices, I'm officially taking a break from bagging to answer!

1. How old are you?
2.Where are you from and where do you live now?
3. What music have you been diggin lately?
4. Favorite food(s)?
5. Single,married, divorced?
6. Kids? If so, how many and how old?
7. What are 3 blogs you read daily?
8. What is your favorite Christmas/Holiday tradition?
9. Lastly, if you're a blogger, how long have you been blogging and if you don't have one..how long have you been reading blogs?

1. How old are you?
I am 31 years old, physically. Mentally, some days I'm well into m 50's, and others, I'm not yet to 16.

2. Where are you from, and where do you live now?
I still live in my home town - I live in Bloomington, Indiana.

3. What music have you been diggin lately?
I have a pretty eclectic mix. Typically, in the car, we play a local country station, they carry my IU football and basketball games! I did fire up some good, classic Christmas songs on the Rhapsody player yesterday, though.

4. Favorite foods?
I really, really like to eat. Seriously. It's kind of a running joke amongst us that I have a 600 lb woman trapped inside my body, because I eat like a lumberjack. There are very few foods I DON'T like. We eat a lot of Italian and Mexican, but I also love a good ol' American steak or burger, too! If it doesn't scream when I stab it with the fork, I'm probably good!

5. Single/Married/Divorced?
I'm in my second marriage, my husband and I have been married for 8 (and a half next week!) years.

6. Kids? If so, how many and how old?
Yep! I have 3 - my boys, J & E are 8 & 7, and my daughter M is 6.

7. What are 3 blogs you read daily?
I have several blogs that I follow, and I follow them because I read them. So, if I'm following you, and you post daily, I read you daily! I don't think I could narrow it down to just three, because there are an awful lot of you that rock!

8. What is your favorite Christmas/Holiday tradition?
I love Christmas morning, which is at my house. My whole family comes over, and we're all together with big pots of coffee, and lots of muffins and bacon and other food, and everyone opens gifts, and we're just all together enjoying the morning! (I just was re-reading this before hitting the "publish" button, and saw I wrote "we're all together" twice, and you know what? I'm totally leaving it. 'Cause that's the best part.)

9. Lastly, if you're a blogger, how long have you been blogging and if you don't have one, how long have you been reading blogs?
I started out as a reader of CaringBridge pages. That was back in June of 2005, when a little girl in my son's Sunday School class was diagnosed with cancer. I ended up linking up with dozens of fighting kids all over the country. I started blogging myself a year or so ago, but did what I'm going to call a "reboot" a couple of months ago. Oh, and I had a football blog I co-wrote last year, and I used my MySpace blog for a while, too. I've always been a spewer of thoughts!

Ok, TAG! You're it! I showed you mine, now you show me yours. Then, pop over to Keely's and link it up. What? You're just a reader, and not a bloger? K, fine. Answer in the comments. No excuses.

  1. I'm commenting instead of blogging this one, because of the fundraiser over there right now...but, here are my answers anyways!

1.How old are you? Acccording to my birth certificate, I am 30. However, if I am in public and peaople see me with my 6 kids, I may say I am a bit older to get away from any rude comments, lol

    3. What music have you been diggin lately? I keep it on the local alternative Christian station. My kids get to listen to the heavy metal and rap they like and I get to give them a positive message in the same song

    6. Kids? If so, how many and how old? 6 kids...12, 9, 6, 5, 4, and 2...about to adopt again though!!! (shhh, it's a secret, lol)

  5. I saw these earlier today, and contemplated answering. Seeing as how I have nothing else to write about today, I will go do it now. I like the local country station here too ;) But it's the classic rock one that airs the games.
