Hoops, Six Degrees, and Easter!

Whew, what a weekend this has been and will be!

As I type this, we're at halftime in the first of the Final Four games. Indiana's own Butler U. is tied with the Big Ten's Michigan State. Go Dawgs! (And I'll keep you posted as I continue to write!)

Time for 6 Degrees of Blogging!

Brought to us by Julia at Work, Wife, Mom, Life!, 6 Degrees is easy - start at your own blog, and click on somebody. Then, do it from theirs. So on and so forth, until you hit #6!

I'm going to start with my 5QF post, and pick a commenter.

I went with Tiffany, and I went to her followers list, where I found Katrina. I was met there by some adorable toes, and lots of comments! In said comments, I was drawn to Coffee, Please! (For those who don't already know it, I have a serious coffee habit.)

From her giveaway/FF commenters, I selected Modern Mom, and in her sidebar, found Paging Doctor Mommy ('cause we've ALL had to play Dr. Mom once or twice!). Congrats to her, as she's just announced her pregnancy with her second child. And from her followers, I found Scottsville.

Erica is a full time mom, part time photographer, fun loving, southern gal. She's active in her church; I loved reading about her participation in "Buckets of Hope for Haiti" - putting together buckets of non-perishable food items.

I invite you to stop in and meet Erica at Scottsville!

Jump on over to Scottsville!

We're now down to just over 4 minutes left in the game, and Butler is leading by 4.
I'm dying here.

Now, Easter.

As a woman of faith, I would be remiss if I didn't comment on Easter. Even as shaky as my faith has been over the years, Easter has always held a spot.

It is the celebration of Resurrection. That which brings us grace and mercy.

He endured the pain and torture so we need not suffer.

He bore the burden so as to lighten our load.

He died so we may live.

On this Sunday, I invite you to celebrate with me, and give thanks.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
(NIV)

While I believe that the way to eternal life is through belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, I respect that YOU may have a different belief system. Should you celebrate this holiday in a different way, or even not at all, I hope that this weekend, and all the days to come, are filled with joy and blessings.

And congrats to the Butler Bulldogs! We'll see YOU Monday night!
