I've been granted more awards this past week!

 

First is the Lemonade Stand Award that I received from the super-sweet Amy over at Our Crazy Love. Then, there on the shelf next to it is the Heartfelt Blogger Award from Mindi at Part of Me.

I'm still so stinking new at this blogging stuff, and am completely flattered that A) More than one of you have come back more than once to read my completely random posts; and B) More than one of you have dubbed me worthy of these fantastic awards. Seriously, guys. A million years ago, I started out on computers by dialing into local "BBS's" and playing RPG's with strangers. I met some of my best friends first via the internet. Somewhere in there, even with my various social media mainlines, I got so caught up in my "real" life, I fell away from the online connections. And I'm really glad to be back.

Here's why: On my blog, you get to get glimpses of the real me. I don't have to be someone I'm not, because if you don't like me, I don't know you and so I don't care! In my professional life, if you don't like me, you drop me, and there is an economic impact. If we travel in the same social circles, and I offend you in some way, you mention it to her, and before you know it, it's ridiculous drama. Sometimes, we have to deal with people in our lives that we don't really want to, but circumstances dictate that we must. You know what I mean? That being said, I have found that there are so many of us who have the same wants, desires, ideas. So  many of YOU have great ideas that I can implement in my every day to make life easier for me, my husband, my kids.

Ok, like I said. Random. It's how I roll.

So, I'm of course subject to a slew of rules on these things, but I'm feeling a little.. rebellious today. This is what I'm thinking.

Instead of giving an award, I want to GIVE an AWARD! In my "Shameless Promotion Time" post, I mentioned at the end the little something for yourself- the Footwork Berry Mint 3 piece set. I have one that I want YOU to have! Plus a bonus! To go with it is a great little inflatable foot bath and towel. I love the inflatable foot bath because once you're done, it can be folded up and stored in a tiny little space. And with all that crazy holiday shopping and cooking and cleaning and stuff we're all doing, here's a great little way to spend 10 minutes on yourself and pamper those feet! (Ok, or it would make a nice gift for someone in your life.)
