Truthful Tuesdays

In the chaos last week, I didn't ever get my Truthful Tuesday done.

I will not be so remiss this week!

Truthful Tuesdays is hosted by Elizabeth at Confessions From A Working Mom :

Confessions from a Working Mom
And today, Elizabeth asks:
Do YOU believe?
You know. Like, do you still hear the bell ring?

I needed this one today, because Elizabeth shared from "Yes, Virginia, There IS A Santa Claus"  and reminded us who Santa is today.

He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy...

As I look about my filthy house, and stress because it will be filled with people and I don't know where to start with the cleaning,
I can be thankful that I know that those who are coming are there because they love us, and we want to celebrate together. That they won't care that the house isn't spotless.
As I panic over the gifts not yet purchased,
I can be thankful that my loved ones are with me, and that I have the ability to give lovingly to them.
As I groan about the mountain of laundry to be put away,
I'm so glad that my children have warm clothes to wear.

I've spent the last couple of days searching for my Christmas Spirit. It's been sadly lacking. I'm still searching, I've not found all of it yet, but at least now I feel like I'm looking in the right places.

Yes, Megan M.

There is a Santa Claus.

  1. I feel that way, too - like the spirit is lacking this year. Christmas just sort of snuck up on me! Hoping I can find it in the next couple of days!

  2. Oh, once you have the hustle and bustle done and Christmas day arrives, I bet you'll find that Christmas spirit!

And I love the reference to "still hearing the bell ring"-- The Polar Express, right?
