I slacked a bit on my 5QF post. Yesterday was depressing, and I just wasn’t feeling it. Sorry.
The good news is that I know, for a fact, that the kind-hearted Mama M. lets us link up through Sunday! So, it’s Saturday night, I’ve had a busy day, but I’m now on MY time, and so, I’m gonna rock it out.
Now, I try to never read anyone else’s post before I do mine, so I hadn’t even looked at the questions yet, but I just went to grab ‘em for the copy/paste (‘cause that’s how we play this game – all the deets are over there at My Little Life if you’re confused.) and I had to laugh. I’ll explain more in a minute!
The Questions:
1. Have you ever visited another country?
2. Where is the strangest place you have ever been?
3. What is your favorite season?
4. What one song will always cheer you up?
5. What Disney character do you resemble most?
1. Have you ever visited another country?
No. Not even Mexico or Canada. And now you have to have a passport to even go to those places, and I don’t have one. But, I’m going to get one soon, because we’re talking about a cruise, and I should have one. But dang – they’re expensive! And when you have to have them for the whole family!? And pictures for them and stuff? That’s crazy!
2. Where is the strangest place you have ever been?
Does my house count? Because I’m definitely living with some crazy people. I don’t know… I’ve been in Assembly Hall in Bloomington when I thought for sure that Ted Valentine was going to die some sort of fan-tortured death. That was strange. I don’t guess I really go to “strange” places, or at least, I don’t view them as strange. I’m a bit of an explorer, so there’s not a lot of “strange” things I encounter.
3. What is your favorite season?
Anti-winter. Seriously. I love spring, as we emerge from the gray, frigid, dull hum-drum of winter. Summer is full of fun, sun, swimming, hanging out with the kids and our friends. Fall – hello football season, and beautiful colors, and fabulous temperatures. If I have HAVE to pick, I’m going to go with summer. Because I love the laid-back way we roll.
4. What one song will always cheer you up?
Leather by Tori Amos (Little Earthquakes) – It’s sultry, and sensual, and silly, all rolled together.
5. What Disney character do you resemble most?
This is the part where I got all giggly, because I had just posted on my twitter that I was finally going through the pictures my dad gave me from where he & my stepmom took the kids to Disney. In there was a picture he (she?) took just for me.
I have a thing for Maleficent. I get new pajamas for everyone to have for Christmas morning – a couple years ago I took advantage of a Disney sale: Tink for M, Cars for E, Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas for J, Goofy for Big Daddy, and me? I own these. They are freaking awesome.
That is NOT to say that I have a green face, or pointy ram horns, but I can be a serious witch when the need arises. So I’m going with Maleficent. Only ‘cause I love her.
So, there we go. My Better Late than Never Five Question Friday. Now, I’m off to see who else has played along!
Our journey has begun!… secretly though
ReplyDeleteIf I’ve left you this message, you’re a follower of my original blog ~OR~ just someone I’ve happened upon while sending out these invites and that I would LOVE for to come along for the ride! Though I won’t be revealing who I am just yet – until we’re TO and THROUGH the first trimester! Just getting the word out about our new site – further explanation of all the secrecy and what we’re about on my first post. I’d love for you to stop by.
Exciting things going on around here!

I am so anti winter, unless you give me a stocked wood pile and kitchen and 10 feet of snow so we do not have to drive then the temp needs to stay about 60
ReplyDeleteWill you hate me if I say I've never heard of Maleficent? Please explain!!
ReplyDeleteWinter sucks. And, you...over there in the easterish part of our state, and more southernery than MN has no idea what winter is like. Snow? Meh. Cold...YUCK!! Yuckity yuck yuck...With temps reaching near -100 with windchill, it's brutal.
