My baby girl….

She refuses to stay little.

Today, she got her ears pierced. Because she wanted to. And she was all brave about it, mostly. (She got a little nervous and teary right before they actually did it, but then, it was cake.)

THEN she decided to cut her hair short again.

This time next week, she’ll officially be a first grader.

She’s sassy, and lippy, and a little lispy because she’s missing a front tooth.

She has her own fashion sense, she’s bubbly and personable.

Her feelings are easily hurt, but her heart quickly mends.

She’s a snuggler, and loves with her whole heart, and then a little.

She exasperates me to no end with her drama, and then lays her head on my chest, bringing a smile to my face.

She’s learning who she is, and who she wants to be.

And she’s pretty doggone awesome.
