What a Whirlwind!

I know, I haven’t blogged in weeks, and it’s made 100 times worse because I’ve done a zillion things in that window of time!

My last post was about the cookies I made for Mario Marathon – we really did end up doing a personal delivery, and I got to be the coolest mom on the planet, at least for a minute! They MM guys were awesome, totally letting the kids hang out, involving them with different things in the event and just being fun. There’s footage of our visit on the Mario Marathon UStream page, but we actually stuck around for like 2 hours, and to post that here would probably run every one of you off, and we don’t want that. So, if you want to see it (and I will say, at one point in there they all do the Mario dance, including the kids, and it’s hilarious) you can check it out here. (We arrive at the 48 minute mark – we’re background noise at first, but it’s all downhill from there! Physical appearance begins at about 56:30 in.) Since then, we’ve logged over 3,000 miles on our van, over 56 hours of highway driving time. We’ve visited family and friends, played in the ocean, visited Hogwarts, attended IRS sessions and generally had a good time. There’s a lot to go with all of that, but I’ll leave you with this as a teaser for now, and be back to give you details!
