There are few things in life that are more exhausting than travelling across the continental US’s time zones in the middle of the night with your children. I was lucky enough that my children are old enough to be really flexible, and even luckier to be making that trip with not only my spouse, but both of my brothers and my sister-in-law. Was it nuts? Yes. Was I as physically drained as I could possibly be? You betcha. Was it worth it?
No doubt about it.
We got to spend time together as a family, just hanging out. My cousin was getting married, my aunt hosted all of us in her home (and there were a TON of us.. At one point, there were 20 people sleeping under her roof!) and it was great.

A few photos from at the wedding & reception, because, well, I can’t get these kids looking much better than that! The three of them in a fit of giggles, my sweet girl and me, and my cousin and his new bride, sharing their first kiss.
My sweet trio. They take my breath away.
I’m blessed to be surrounded in this life by so many people who love and support one another. Tragic events, like those that unfolded in a movie theater in Colorado, bring such feelings home for so many of us. We would do well to remember it always. Not just in tragedy, and not just in times of celebration, but in times of normalcy.
Be blessed,
love the pictures, beautiful wedding dress and I agree we need to remember our loved ones all the time
