Stillness

I sit in the chair, the dog at my feet. The cat is in my lap, nosing at my hands, requesting a good scratch. Coffee. Sunrise. The house is still, the others are sleeping.
One final, peaceful morning before it all begins again. School. Work. Tax season. Chaos.
Taking just a few moments to soak this all in. Thankful to know that at this moment, all is well.
