Seriously. FEMA could come in at any time.
It’s my own fault. I’m not a “tidy” person. My husband tried, but the reality is, with three kids, plus me, he never stood a chance.
And let’s face it. We all hate to be the only one cleaning it up. After all, we had help in making the mess!
Last week, Brandie shared her adventures in restoring order to her home. Got me motivated. I want this. I want to feel like I have some sense of order to my chaos.
She did it in a week. That’s my target. I want all the main living spaces in my home to be seriously presentable in one week. (Kids rooms are probably exempt, but maybe not. My room is NOT exempt, and will be included in this little adventure.
So, I want to find the following rooms:
- Kitchen
- Living Room
- Family Room
- All Bathrooms (Master, kids and powder room)
- Mudroom
- Laundry Room
- Upstairs Hallway/Space
- Master Bedroom
Will y’all hold me to it, please?
I am much like you, I have given up! lol!! I think I should have a warning sign at the door, because I guess I freaked my mother-in-law out by the mess we make and next thing I knew there was a blog about our mess posted by my husband's sister-in-law (who is a stay at home mom and can find time to clean)! Here is the way I see it, we work, so when we are off we want to be with our families, not pushing a sweeper around!!! Hope you have a great Mother's Day!!!
ReplyDeleteI try and try to keep our place somewhat presentable, but I fail all the time... as soon as I get something cleaned up the toddler comes and makes a mess again. It drives my husband nuts, because he's a bit of a clean freak.

ReplyDeleteI've been busy with my own chaos and I'm just getting around to catch up on my favorite blogs. How did this work out for you? Were you able to get all presentable? I would venture a guess to say that with three kids, even if you did get it all presentable, it's probably not now. LOL!
