Monkey Minute

I’m going to play along with Monday Monkey Minute today. This is in spite of the fact that I failed miserably on my regular blog hops Friday and Sunday. (Sorry, girls! I’ll be back, I promise!)

pixieprayers Please, please be sure to hit up The Daily Dose of Reality for all the details- especially what you can do to support Monkey, a darling 16 month old princess who’s just been diagnosed with neuroblastoma. NB is a cancer I learned far to much about, and I told part of my learning story here, but there is more, and I’ll give you other windows into all that over time. In the meantime, Monkey and crew could sure use all the love, prayers and support we can throw their way!

So, now on to the Monkey Minute! Much like our beloved 5QF, Ian gives us questions, we share the answers! Fun, quirky questions result in hysterical answers and unusual ways to learn more about each other.

Have you ever peed in the shower/bath/pool?

Yep. Shower for sure (all runs to my septic, after all!), pool when I was younger. Bath, not so much, although I’m certain that back in the diaper days it happened. Now? Eww.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Wow. I don’t know that I could pin it down to the biggest. Depends on my mood, and the day. Just the other day, I ranted about people making appointments, then not showing up. Saturday, I was frustrated by a parent who was making no effort to parent. How about rudeness/lack of courtesy? I think that would cover all of the above!

What's the story behind your blog title?

No real story, just concept. Being a great mom demands a great deal of common sense. Most days at our house are filled with silliness and nonsense. This is a “partnership” of the two ideas!

What is your definition of success?

General happiness/satisfaction. If my children are properly cared for, and our home is filled with love, then I have been successful at the most important thing I have in front of me. Everything thing else is secondary to that.

If you were famous, what would you want to be famous for?

Raising wildly successful kids.

Or winning a pie eating contest. I really like pie.

K, now, seriously, check out the links, play along, or just send some warm support in the direction of Monkey and her family!
